MUSHERS BOWL WINTER CARNIVAL BUTTONS CAN BE PURCHASED BEGINNING IN DECEMBER 2008 AT THE CHAMBER AND AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN AND AROUND BRIDGTON.

The second slope style event of the season. Every competitor will take two runs through the park and the best run will count. The comp will start at Noon and go till 2 PM. Awards will at 2:30 PM.

Mushers Bowl Talent Search sponsored by Project Graduation - 7:00 PM at Lake Region High School - Naples. Open to all area schools Ages 12 - 19. $10 entry fee for 5 - 10 minute performance. $5 admission voting ballot.

 

THURSDAY, JANUARY 22nd

Winter Carnival After Hours @ The Bridgton Community Center - Open to the public from 5 PM to 7 PM

The 5th Annual Chamber All Stars vs. the combined Bridgton Police/Fire Departments Basketball Classic to support C.H.O.I.C.E.S.  The game will benefit local programs that promote healthy life choices for youth.  Free if wearing a Winter Carnival Button   7:30 PM at Lake Region High School.  In 2008, the Police and Fire Department won a close 85-80 game.

The WBZ Ski Team will hit the slopes, hanging out with listeners and promoting the incredible Apres-Ski Party in Blizzard's Lounge! From 4:30 PM-6:30 PM, the Team will entertain the crowd in with a DJ featuring fun/family friendly music - top 40, classic rock etc. Fun, Family-friendly games - musical chairs, a balloon popping contest, hat head competition and the always entertaining lip-synch competition. and tons of prizes - like hand warmers, hats and t-shirts, then some bigger prizes like a snowboard from Ski Outlet, gift certificates to F-1 in Boston and enter to win a ski chair from skichair.com!! A moderate snowshoe hike during the Mushers Bowl Weekend in Historic South Bridgton. Meet at the Five Fields Farm apple stand on Route 107 to sign up. Bring snowshoes, a thermos of hot cocoa, and a camera. Hike will start at 11:00 a.m. both days. FMI contact jon@lelt.org or 647-4352.

8th Annual Shawnee Peak/Ernie's Cycle Shop Snow Mountain Bike Race Presented by Ernie's Cycle Shop, Westbrook
4X Downhill Bike Race!

Whether you participate or spectate, this is one of the most exciting events on the calendar! We build a course, complete with twists, turns, banks and jumps and you get your bike down without biting the big one! Oh, by the way, you are riding with three other bikers! It is a boardercross with bikes!

Practice runs start at 10:00 AM. Event starts at 11am. Timed runs from 1:30 PM-2:30 PM. Awards in Blizzard's Pub at 3 PM. $30 Registration fee - and everyone gets a free lift ticket. Register from 8-10:30 AM . All bikers will sign release of liability forms. Bikers under 18 will need a PARENT (no siblings, friends, etc) to sign. We will check ID.
